Utilizing a never-ending interest in the minutia of American life, I find inspiration for movement within snippets of cell phone messages, through the transformable toys of 1986, between frozen squid tentacles from the local Vietnamese market, or inside the rusty gears of a diesel engine.  I create highly conceptual and nuanced themes for my work, always challenging myself with the choreographic question: "How do I show this through movement?"  My experience as part of America's MTV Generation is referenced in my work through themes of alienation set within a gritty, plastic, and absurdist landscape.  Layering intricate movement material with visual design my dances are dark comedies based on mundane events.
